The police are called in to 3rd grade!!!

Okay, they were actually asked to come in to help teach about the importance of being safe on the internet.

As we begin learning about blogging and using the internet for research, it is important to understand the "how" of being safe online. We talked about what to do if we saw something that made us feel sad or uncomfortable (talk to a trusted adult), not to ever give out our names or addresses, not to ever meet "face-to-face" with anyone from the internet, and to always ask for help when we need it.

We are so excited to welcome you not only to the new school year, but also to our new building on Dalia Street!! This is going to be a great year for 3rd grade and we are so glad to be sharing it with you!

We have been overwhelmed with love this week from our families. Flowers, gifts and yummy breakfasts every morning. Wow- thank you all for your kindness. We love our jobs!!!!

Spirit Week

We will be celebrating as a whole school spirit week next week.

• Monday- 3rd grade will be wearing darker blue shirts. Solid colors or uniform shirts please.


• Tuesday- hoodie day


• Wednesday- dress up day- shirts, ties, dresses, not costumes.


• Thursday- Neck up- hats, crazy hair, face painting, but no masks.


• Friday- Dress down day- we only earn this if our class raises $25 in support of the new school
